Here is a great exemple of a made in Japan fender telecaster rosewood that is just awesome and as good even better that an American one 
She was made in 1985 
The guitar is in really great condition a few little ding in the headstock but overall close to new condition 
It is the first reissue of the legendary tele played by George Harrison
This example has a particularly beautiful rosewood grain pattern especially on the neck . Playability and tone are excellent. Apart from its obvious beauty, this is a great guitar that sounds awesome 
Comes with a case that is not original I actually did not find informations that would clearly say if there where cases with these guitars
